Our Story
Clegg & Shortman have been providing professional and high quality roofing works to Devon and the South West since 1975. A reputable family business, originally established by FA Clegg and associates, we are renowned for our professionalism, high standards and quality workmanship, with an experienced and dedicated team to assist with all your roofing related needs.
Since the retirement of Mr A Clegg, the business is now within the safe and experienced hands of his son Matthew. Matthew has been working for the business for over 25 years both in a hands on capacity undertaking roofing renewals and repairs, and at management level overseeing our cladding department. He therefore has the knowledge and experience to successfully continue the Clegg & Shortman legacy.

With our experienced team of site operatives, contract management and support staff, we are able to swiftly and effectively deal with your roofing needs. From renewals, repairs and maintenance, flat roofing, cladding and asphalt, Clegg & Shortman are here to discuss your roofing requirements. All our services are competitively priced and completed to the highest standards of workmanship, with free no obligation quotations.
We are approved installers of Bauder, IKO and Hydrostop (amongst others) and have clients ranging from domestic property owners, local authorities, housing associations, defence organisations and large contractors and are NFRC, Constructionline and SMAS accredited. Clegg & Shortman are also members of the Mastic Asphalt Council so you know that you are in safe and competent hands.
